Database Administrator
* Install and configure Microsoft SQL Server software and related products
* Perform the database design and implementation of database data models
* Implement and maintain database security, including creating and maintaining users and roles
* Perform database maintenance and application/database performance tuning
* Maintain and monitor all database servers to ensure system availability
* Establish and maintain backup and recovery policies and procedures and perform all database data backup and restoration procedures and functions
* Provide Tier 2 / Tier 3 and 24/7 technical support
* Interface with Microsoft for SQL Server technical support
* Provide general consultation to Application Development regarding database design and development
* Create and maintain database documentation and standards
* Perform database capacity planning
* Evaluate Microsoft SQL Server features and related products
* Analyze and review the database components of vendor software packages
* Provide project management oversight for enterprise database projects and work closely with the IT Project Management Office to accomplish project-related goals
* This position requires a B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and 3+ years experience in Database Administration or equivalent professional experience
* Advanced knowledge of MS SQL Server 2005 and 2008
* Experience with MS SQL, SSIS, SSRS, and Active Directory
* MCITP (Database Administrator) or similar certification(s)
* Experience designing, configuring, and maintaining data warehouses, OLTP applications, and OLAP systems
