Data Warehouse Developer
• Design and develop ETL processes to bring new data elements into the existing data warehouse
• Analyze, design and develop solutions for computation of fields based on business logic, combinations of existing data elements, etc.
• Optimize data structures for scalability, performance and storage needs
• Provide documentation for designs, specifications and descriptions of data warehouse structures, transformation, etc
• Know and implement ETL best practices (lineage tracking, transformation, data validation/verification, audit reporting, logging, monitoring, and alerting)
• Understand and provide support for reporting tools (MicroStrategy 9.2) and provide ad hoc queries and data analysis support
• Assess and recommend database and/or analytics tools as needed (e.g. column-oriented databases, hadoop systems and/or data mining tools)
• 5+ years' experience with MS SQL Server 2005/2008
• Bachelor's Degree or Higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS or related field
• MS SQL Stored Procedures, Scripts and SSIS packages
• Extensive experience and expertise with ETL and data warehousing technologies/methodologies
• Understanding of Storage requirements as they relate to Database MS SQL Server Database T-SQL
• Knowledge of MicroStrategy 9.2
• Microsoft - MCTS - Database Development or BI Development and Maintenance is desired
• TDWI - CBIP - Certified Business Intelligence Professional is a plus
