Oracle Database Administrator
*Design, including both logical and physical, develop and maintain the RDBMS environment
*Provides technical support for the RDBMS
*Database performance tuning, data replication, and security administration
*Documents appropriate requirements and specifications
*Performs physical design for data distribution, mapping, and restructuring
*Generates RDBMS schema and sub-schema
*Conducts appropriate testing and validation
*Provides DBMS business recovery support
*Provide 24x7 support for database related issues
*Provides liaison & consultation with the application design and data warehouse needs
*Thorough knowledge of Oracle Database Management practices required; Knowledge of SQL Server Database Management preferred
*Database design and data modeling
*SQL/PL*SQL
*Database Security Administration
*Backup and Recovery Procedure
*OEM Tool (Oracle Enterprise Manager)
*Basic UNIX knowledge (preferably SUN Solaris)
*Knowledge of Veritas volume manager and file system a plus
*Knowledge of Oracle Data Guard and SQL Server Log Shipping
*Knowledge of Oracle Warehouse Builder
*Familiarity of Oracle and SQL Server Licensing
*A bachelor*s degree in Information Systems
*A minimum of five years of corporate business experience
*Strong business acumen and business partnering skills, understanding of Manufacturing operations
*Demonstrated experience process improvement
*Outstanding communication and relationship building skills
*Strong strategic thinking and planning/organizing capabilities
*Ability to work effectively in a team and process-based environment, driving for continuous improvement
