Senior SQL Developer

Analyze options and develop solutions for load balancing with database servers.
Devise Database concurrency solutions.
Create stored procedure calls using the data block.
Design distributed data tier to optimize machines, servers, database configuration.
Work with developers who represent middle tier and API interfaces.
Must have the ability to work independently, identify problems, gather information ad develop possible course of action for resolution.
Ø The incumbent is responsible for MS SQL database design and implementation, including development of complex stored procedures, triggers, and SQL statements. Additional responsibilities include storage management, performance tuning, data feeding and query scheduling.
Ø This position will have supervisory responsibilities and provide guidance, team building and technical resources to team members.
Ø Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, and six plus (6+) years of Database experience developing enterprise transactional databases in an MS SQL environment.
Ø Eight plus (8+) years of prior database administration experience to include: data modeling, database design, relational database administration and writing, tuning and enhancing stored procedures.
Ø Five plus (5+) years’ experience working in n-tier client-server environment.
Ø Knowledge of Internet technologies such as Web Services, XML, XSL, and XSLT.
Ø Prior experience with SQL Server technology required.
Ø Expert knowledge with Microsoft .NET framework technology, Visual Basic and Visual C++/C# preferred.
Ø Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL), Enterprise Manager, T-SQL, SQL-Agent, Job Scheduler and Distributed Transaction Coordinator and DOS and OSQL Scripting.
Ø Familiar with other key Microsoft and non-Microsoft technologies, including .NET, XML and Java
Ø Thorough understanding of SQL Server internals, especially system catalog table
Ø Broad understanding of.XML
Ø Previous test experience in SQL server environment.
Ø Previous experience in ERWin desirable.
Ø Tuning and enhancing of stored procedures.
Ø Conceptual understanding of overall hardware, software and network infrastructure.
Ø Familiar with performance monitoring tools for various platforms and ability to set up transaction metrics.
Ø Knowledge of both Object and Relational databases.
