PostgreSQL DBA
1. Maintain the integrity of the data in the databases
2. Set up and maintain databases for production, testing, certification, reporting, and other environments as needed
3. Perform database maintenance, including query/index analysis to help improve overall system speed and integrity
4. Perform routine database analysis and maintenance to keep production systems operating at peak efficiency
5. Ensure data is backed up, and daily reporting data is updated and available for use
6. May perform other general IT tasks as requested to assist in maintaining the overall IT systems
7. Assist in planning, monitoring utilization, and capacity for current and proposed systems, including changes, by performing defined tasks.
* BS degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field area, preferred;
* 2-4 years of database, operations, and/or helpdesk experience;
* Solid communication skills/customer service skills;
* Helpdesk background and system administration experience preferred;
* Detail-oriented with solid organization skills;
* Able to adapt to flexible deployment schedule and juggle several testing projects at a time. Able to plan and re-plan if need be on the fly ;
* Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic and team oriented environment;
* Mortgage industry knowledge preferred;
* Working knowledge of SQL and Postgres;
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
* Excellent interpersonal skills;
* Ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders in remote offices;
* Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook ;
* Working knowledge of the proprietary Tigris/Nile software systems (acquired).
