Database Administrator (DBA) - SQL
· Analyze and sustain capacity and performance requirements
· Analyze, consolidate and tune database for optimal efficiency
· Create shell scripts for task automation
· Design and build database architecture
· Design and configure database disk systems
· Design Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence platform
· Design, install, and configure Database Servers
· Develop database utilities and automated reporting
· Evaluate and recommend new database technologies
· Implement security and encryption
· Install and test upgrades and patches
· Monitor systems and platforms for availability
· Oversee backup, clustering, mirroring, replication and failover
· Owning, tracking and resolving database related alerts, incidents, and requests
· Provide 24/7 support for critical situations
· Restore and recover corrupted databases
· Working with developers to design and implement strategic solutions to recurring problems
Position Requirements: · 5+ years of DBA experience, 7+ years Information Technology experience
· Experience with Database Administration for MSSQL Server
· Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems
· Mastery of the (ANSI) Structured Query Language (SQL)
· Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
· Experience with backups, restores and recovery models
· Knowledge of Reporting Services (SSRS), High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MSSQL Server
· Experience in implementing operational automation using scripts
· Knowledge of indexes, index management, and statistics
· Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory and proper disk configurations
