Database Administrator
Candidate must have a minimum of 3-5 years of related experienceKnowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 /2008 R2, all Windows Operation Systems and VMWare. Must be able to interact with all levels of management, both internal and external parties. Must have exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple, high priority projects with a keen attention to detail. Must have strong interpersonal, analytical and problem solving abilities. Must be able to perform duties under minimal supervision, a motivated self-starter and ability to work weekends and after hours. Must be able to work with business vendors and clients though a variety of database management challenges, solutions, upgrades, new development and storage requirements. Experience in SQL Server 2005 thru 2008 R2 server builds, installations and upgrades. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the following: database modeling, database security and T-SQL. Experience in database physical and logical design. Experience in performance tuning across: database queries, database optimization, query plans, indexes, OS and hardware. Knowledge of SQL Server tracing and SQL Server Profiler. Ability to systematically automate DBA tasks: backups, restores, environment refreshes and monitoring. Knowledge of hardware includes network and storage devices (SANS). Must been able to create, administer and troubleshoot ETL, SSIS packages, SSRS and SSAS. Must be able to configure and publish database replication. Ability to research new technologies to ensure we remain on the leading edge of database technology. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
