Senior Oracle Database Admin

- Install, configure, upgrade and support production and development Oracle databases, Oracle Application Servers, and Oracle Applications 11.5.10, 12.1.3 - Install, configure, upgrade and support production and development Microsoft SQL databases - Lead small to medium sized projects where communication and coordinatin is key - Provide day-to-day (24/7) databases support for users & application teams - Implementing database backup and restorations - Clone and/or refresh databases and Applications to make test and development systems - Trouble shooting and making recommendations to database performance issues - Write SQL, PL/SQL programs, Shell scripts and Perl programs - Work with Application teams in designing schemas, tuning SQL and improving application logic -Monitoring CPU, Memory usage, IO and other OS stats in tuning the databases - use proactive approach to identify and improve databases performance - Migrating/upgrading databases and applying Oracle patches

- 7+ years of Production Oracle database work experience with good understanding of oracle RDBMS concepts and overall architecture. Versions 9i, 10g, and 11g - 5+ years of Production Microsoft SQL database work experience with good understanding of SQL concepts and overall architecture. Versions 2005 and 2008R2 - 7+ years of Production Oracle Applications 11.5.10 and R12.1.3 work experience with good understanding of oracle application concepts and overall architecture - Must be able to multi-task between many different projects and operational items - Experience with Oracle 11g grid control/Enterprise Manager - Must have experience with Oracle Data guard/standby - Must have 3+ years of coding experience in SQL, PL/SQL, and Unix Shell Scripting - Experience with Oracle Partitioning, RMAN, Stats pack, SQL*Loader - Experience with NetApp filers and/or other storage area network systems - Strong understanding of database replication concepts, i.e. Data Guard, multi-master replication, streams - Proven shell and Perl scripting - Demonstrated proficiency of troubleshooting techniques and detail-oriented problem diagnosis - Ability to analyze and resolve issues - Experience in deploying database changes for new database releases with minimal downtime - Good Knowledge of Linux (RH) and Solaris Operating system administration - Some experience in other database technologies like MySql will be plus - B.S. in Computer Science or related area of study or equivalent work experience -
