Database Administrator
* Database maintenance (indexes, statistics, etc.) and recoverability (SQL Litespeed)
* Production support ticket ownership
* Extract, Transform and Load management
* Database code deployments
* Share in database administrator on-call responsibilities
* 8+ years of database administration experience, three of which as an Application Support DBA
* 5+ years of experience with MS SQL Server 2005 or 2008 on Windows 2003 and 2008
* 5+ years of experience writing complex queries and stored procedures in T-SQL
* 3+ years of experience with Extract, Transform and Load management
* 2+ years of experience with VLDBs
* Proven troubleshooting ability in an application support role
* Strong performance tuning capabilities using profiler traces, hardware metrics and stored procedure “dead reckoning”
* Strong decision making skills
* Strong written and verbal communications skills
* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or other technical discipline preferred
