MySQL Database Administrator
The successful candidate will work with the Lead DBA in the design, maintenance and optimization of a MySQL database. The responsibilities include, but not limited to: Participate in Development, maintenance, evaluation and document administration of database tools and strategies;
Education: A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of six (6) years experience as a Database Administrator.
Experience: Proven experience in MySQL/Oracle DBA, Stored Procedures, Database Design and administration and C++. Candidate is required to have strong technical skills in UNIX and Windows Platforms, a working knowledge of MySQL 5.0, and design/support development, testing and production database instances in a high transaction web environment. Experience with Oracle PL/SQL, stored procedure use with PHP, Java and C++, SQL Maestro, Windows, Solaris, Unix, C++, Java and Object Oriented Programming is desired.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must show evidence of skill with: a good understanding of internet applications and its workflow technology; MySQL replication and other high availability environment experience; adaptability to highly dynamic working environment; ability to take initiative and work independently; and excellent problem solving, collaboration and communication skills.
