Sr. SAP Basis Administrator
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform system analysis, and reporting of multiple SAP systems
• Apply system analysis techniques when troubleshooting system outages and or service degradation situations.
• Maintaining software functionality by providing and executing: SAP Installations, upgrades, system copies and performance tuning
• Manage the companies SAP Enterprise Portals as well as J2EE administration
• Maintain J2EE within the SAP environment – update, patch and troubleshooting, escalations
• Experienced working with SAP on Series I, DB2 database
• Knowledge of technical infrastructure, Networking and system operations
• Work with external vendors and internal business units to select hardware and software products that ensure data quality, consistency, integrity, security and availability of KSNA systems
• Work with system vendors to determine future direction and availability of technology
• Remain abreast of industry standards and best practices for infrastructure technologies, analyze potential impact on company systems and inform management of actions needed or other recommendations
• Add, move change SAP user accounts, when appropriate or when in an escalation situation
• Maintain SAP groups, roles and transactions, when appropriate or when in an escalation situation
• Ensure SAP programs are transported with appropriate security and do not conflict with company SoD standards
• Completes special projects and priorities as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE REQUIRED:
• Proven experience in SAP Basis Consulting, Administration and operational control for Support and Maintenance and Implementation Projects.
• Experience with IBM i7 Series Operating Systems and HMC consoles
• Proven process analysis and improvement skills
• Excellent coordination and negotiation skills
• Extensive problem solving skills
• Strong verbal, written, organizational & interpersonal skills
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: (Typical pattern of education and experience which would provide the knowledge and skills indicative of successful job performance.)
• 5-7 years of related work experience required, preferably in a large fast-paced business environment
• Proven ability to self-manage and work with minimal supervision
• Experience managing multiple projects and tasks
• Experience with ticketing systems, such as BMC Remedy
• Excellent Communication skills written and verbal
