Oracle&MySQL DBA
Responsibilities:
* Support existing database systems including Oracle, MySQL, and Apache Solr.
* Responsible for the installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of all database software and related infrastructure.
* Work closely with management and other members of the team to both implement and ensure timely completion of goals and deliverables.
* Stay current with emerging technologies and procedures and make opportunities to integrate them into operations and activities.
* Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for database administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Requirements:
* Bachelor degree with a technical major such as engineering or computer science.
* 1 year of general database administration experience focused on MySQL and/or Oracle.
* 1 year of experience with Unix/Linux based operating systems.
* Experience with Perl and shell programming.
* Familiarity with Java based applications is a plus.
