Senior Informix DBA
* B.S degree in Computer Science and/or appropriate certifications
* 7+ years of experience with OLTP databases (Informix, Oracle, Sybase, DB2), with at least 4 years of Informix experience.
* Knowledge of one or two other major RDBMS, especially MS SQL, Vertica, mySQL
* SUN Solaris experience (Linux knowledge is also a serious plus)
* 3-5 yrs expertise in performance monitoring & tuning
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Demonstrated ability to function in a high pressure production support environment and make informed real-time decisions based on business priorities and implications.
* Managing the dba team, assigning tasks and priorities. Monitoring project schedules and costs.
* Jointly working with application developers and other teams in designing and implementing data based solutions to business problems.
* Maintaining database instances – performance tuning, backup policies, access policies, disaster recovery, monitoring.
* Mentoring other team members, and providing guidance and best practices.
* Providing production/on-call support.
