Systems Engineer/SQL DBA
* Evaluate, define, and document standards, processes, and procedures
* Document network topology, database configuration, and site configurations
* Helping plan and initiate future growth of the database infrastructure
* Mentor system administrators or operators
* Provide second/third level support for server/site issues and escalations
* Assist application development teams with troubleshooting performance and stability issues.
* Evaluate and/or recommend purchases (you will have an strong influence on the purchasing process)
* Ability to lead projects and implementations
* Familiarity with data modeling, entity relationships, referential integrity, and cardinality concepts
* Familiarity with creating schemas, triggers, stored procedures, sequences, synonyms, and user defined data types
* Working knowledge of Windows networks
* Working knowledge with Unix/Linux systems/networks
* Working knowledge of IIS (ASP and ASP.NET) and Apache
* Working knowledge of network hardware, firewalls, switches, routers, etc.
* Working with databases in a clustered environment is a plus
* Experience with Site Server and Commerce Server desirable
* Experience with Integration Services and Reporting Services is a plus
* Experience with Microsoft SQL Server OLAP, Business Analytics, and data cubes is a plus
* Significant programming background in any applicable language a plus
