PL/SQL Programmer
This is a PL/SQL programmer position. The incumbent is responsible for contributing to new functionality and improving performance within the RSS (reseller) Billing application by evaluating potential solutions, coding and developing reliable and efficient IT solutions for complex projects as well as making improvements to the existing code base as necessary. The incumbent will work on developing enhancements to the RSS Billing application to deliver medium to highly complex initiatives to increase revenue or maintain customer satisfaction. Candidate should possess excellent PL/SQL and SQL tuning and will work independently, requiring supervision on complex tasks only. Periodically will lead other team members in selected project activities to ensure customer satisfaction. RSS supports the VZW Wholesale Business Channel by providing Reseller Billing, Provisioning, and Care services for milliions of customers.
1.Software development – Evaluate, develop strategic complex technical solutions, design, code and unit test all phases of the project to meet the desired objective, quality and timetable using state of the art technologies and business rules. Interact with peers to share best practices and cross train.
2.Complete Quality Center tickets for tracking code changes implemented to meet Sarbanes Oxley requirements, participate in weekly team meetings to share status, lessons learned, etc. Attend Approach Walkthrough meetings to ensure complete understanding of upcoming project expectations.
