Oracle DBA
Customer and infrastructure database management in a Service Desk environment.
Oracle DBA 11g/10g; Sun Solaris; HP Open View; experience with web servers like Tomcat, Apache, and Oracle Application server a plus;
Experience in a production environment a must.
Performs Database Administration functions on Oracle Databases on Solaris operating systems. Must be Proficient in design, install, configure and maintain large Oracle databases on Sun Microsystems hardware.
Proficient in Oracle hot Backups, recoveries, user accounts, performance tuning, troubleshooting and monitoring of databases for a 7X24 hour operation. On-call duties are required.
Experience with Oracle 10g through 11gR2 including Oracle Enterprise Manager, RMAN, partioning, Advance security option, encryption, Advanced replication, Datagaurd etc is a must.
Provide technical service and guidance to other professional staff and management. Familiar with third party tools like Legato Networker, HP Openview, EMC etc.
Additional Qualifications: To qualify, the candidate is required to have a BS/BA in Computer science, engineering, math or business, and 8-10 years database systems. - Experience in a multi tier & web environment. - Good knowledge of UNIX is a must. - Should possess good knowledge of Perl & shell scripting. -
