ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
*
Performs application programming; develops, performs unit tests, and maintains application software & databases.
*
Completes all required documentation for each software application.
*
Maintains existing software applications; makes modifications as requested by ISD lead/manager.
*
Gathering and documenting requirements for existing and/or future business needs as requested by lead/manager.
*
Performs full analysis for existing and/or future business needs as requested by lead/manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Administration or related fields and at least five years of job-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have three - four years experience developing web-based database applications. Must have two solid years experience using .NET technology and 2 years experience developing SQL Server databases. Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD) desired, but not required. Must have demonstrated experience with application development, particularly for web enabled applications. Must understand the software development life cycle, and be familiar with an information engineering approach to development. Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus. Must be proficient developing web applications with Microsoft .NET technologies. Must have experience with relational databases; specifically MS SQL Server. Must be proficient with Microsoft Windows, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, & SQL. Must have experience developing n-tier applications using web services. Must be able to work in a team environment with good verbal and written skills. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" security clearance.
