Senior Data Warehouse Engineer
Responsibilities
* Design, implement and maintain our mission critical data warehouse.
* Gather technical and business requirements for building out new features.
* Respond quickly to ad-hoc business requests.
* Work effectively in a fast-paced ever changing environment.
Requirements
Required Skills
* Knowledge of the entire DW/BI stack.
* Experience with one or more of the following tools for data integration: Talend, Informatica, Kettle or scripting languages.
* Experience with data modeling.
* Experience with one or more of the following BI tools: Jasper, Pentaho, Microstrategy, Cognos, Business Objects.
* Ability to write and understand complex SQL.
* Experience w/ one of the following relational databases like MySQL, Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server, Postgres.
* Strong communication skills.
* BS degrees in computer science or equivalent experience.
* Familiarity with Java and/or scripting languages such as Python, Ruby.
Desired Skills
* Experience with Netezza or similar large scale data warehousing systems such as Vertica, Aster, Teradata.
* Experience w/ clickstream analysis.
* Experience w/ large data volumes (hundreds of millions of events).
* Experience w/ Hadoop and related technologies such as Hive and PIG.
