atabase Administrator
Database Administrator responsibilities include database infrastructure design, capacity sizing, database installation, performance tuning, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, migration, cloning, space management, problem resolution, monitoring and support. The Database Administrator is expected to take a leading role, providing system maintenance planning, handling escalated incidents, training of support engineers, updating our knowledge base, and maintaining our best practices in database management.
Required qualifications:
* B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or related fields
* 5-10 years of hands-on DBA experience on Oracle 9i, 10g and 11g on UNIX (Linux, AIX, HPUX and SUN) and Windows environments
* In depth experience of Oracle backup and recovery, strong RMAN skills desired
* In depth knowledge of database performance tuning and application tuning
* Strong SQL and PL/SQL programming skills
* Proficiency in UNIX/Windows scripting
* Experience in high-availability and disaster recovery configuration
* Knowledge of Oracle RAC, Oracle Replication, Oracle Streams, Oracle Data Guard
* Experience in database capacity planning, installing and patching, job scheduling, monitoring, migration, cloning, and troubleshooting
* Oracle OCA/OCP Certified preferred
* Good team player and enjoy working in a fast pace environment
* Ability to set priorities, accommodate requirement and resource changes
* Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
* Ability and willingness to work under pressure
* Ability and willingness to work around customer preferred hours if necessary
* Legal working status in the U.S.
* Domestic or international travel might be up to 20%
