Database Administrator IV
* Create implementation packages for all database changes
* Use SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and automated processes to implement database changes
* Manage backups
* Refresh non-production environments periodically
* Manage database maintenance, including integrity checks, re-indexing, defragging, etc.
* Review error logs and troubleshoot issues
* Implement changes to and support replication
* Implement changes to and support data archiving
* Monitor databases using Performance Monitor and SQL Profiler
* Gather performance data and analyze
* Optimize performance based on analysis
* Install new SQL Server instances
* Configure SQL Server instances for optimal performance
* Upgrade and patch SQL Server instances as necessary
• Development of logical and physical data models
* Special projects as requested
* Performs other duties as assigned
* Bachelor's degree in IT preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
o Three (3) years experience with Microsoft SQL Server
o Ability to write and troubleshoot queries in T-SQL
o Familiarity with linked servers
o One (1) year working with transactional replication
o Ability to maintain confidentiality.
