,SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA)
The primary responsibilities of the position are to install, configure, troubleshoot, and assist in maintaining database environments. This includes activities to implement, configure, and troubleshoot database instances as well as replication, backup, partitioning, storage, and access. Other tasks include the monitoring and optimization of system performance using index tuning, disk optimization. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills and an ability to collaborate with both IT resources and business operations to effectively accomplish tasks.
Responsibilities Include:
· Working knowledge of and experience with the administration of SQL Server 2008 databases on a Windows platforms
· Define and support existing databases
· Ensure data integrity in a distributed multi-application environment
· Database Design
· Database Replication
· Maintain database performance by developing tuning methodologies.
· Database application integration
· Implement and support new database technology and solutions
· Maintain data integrity by establishing standards, monitoring performance.
· Manage backups
· SQL Reporting Services
Required Experience:
· SQL 2008
· Knowledge of Windows 2003 Server & Windows 2008 Server
· Performance Tuning
· Database Replication
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Advanced data modeling skills and experience
· Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, work within timelines and multi task
· Strong written and communication skill
