Oracle DB Admin
• Maintain & configure Oracle & MySQL database servers
• Optimize SQL for performance
• Coordinate & implement database changes for in-house code releases & for DB maintenance releases
• Develop & review SQL database designs
• Develop/Review/Optimize schema structures
• Secure data & provide for high availability access
• A desire to make work fun & enjoyable (this is first on the list for a reason)
• Oracle Certification, preferably OCP
• Experience with Oracle ASM
• Some experience with Oracle Streams, Gateway &/or Data Guard
• Experience with high-volume transactional systems
• Experience with the Linux operating system
• Experience with multiple programming languages
• Experience working on web-based, database driven systems
• Extensive experience with RMAN
• Understanding of different storage hardware (SAN, RAID, SSD)
• A BS in Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent combination of education & experience)
• Excellent knowledge of SQL & PL/SQL. Three to five years of experience preferred
