DATABASE SOFTWARE ENGINEER
* Master’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
* Ten years professional software engineering experience in high reliability product development preferably with bio-med, aerospace, data warehouse and web/e-commerce applications.
* 7+ years of experience with SQL Server, including stored procedures
* Proven experience in Database Model
* Proven experience in C, C++, Perl, Java, Flash, PHP and Unix Shell scripts
* Proven track record in high-transaction, high volume, web/e-commerce and/or high availability SQL (24/7/365) server environments
* Proficiency in relational database design, data warehousing and database administration
* Experience in Oracle (Designer, Developer and/or Enterprise Management tool), Sybase or other relational database a plus
* Proven record in the development of Database Interface Drivers
* Experience in configuration management and code version control (CVS)
* Experience in database performance tuning
* Demonstrate technical analysis experience
* Demonstrate history of resourcefulness and attention to details.
* Good technical and problem solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Must be a self-starter and able to work in a team environment
* Must be able to work in a fast pace environment and be committed to release deadlines
* Experience working in an inter-disciplinary integrated environment including System Engineering, Electrical, Biomedical and Mechanical engineers
* Experience with SQL Server
* Experience with SQL Server Analysis Services
* Outstanding ability to read dynamic SQL and complex stored procedures
* Experience creating and maintaining complex database schemas
* Advance understanding of index optimization and performance tuning
* Experience supporting and working in a project development and support environment with ability to diagnose and solve problems quickly
* Thorough understanding and skill of Mac OS, Linux and Windows operating systems
* Outstanding coding and testing skills required
* Have an analytical mind and the ability to delve into details, but also have an interest in broader business issues
* Exceptional communications (written and oral)
* Customer service focus in a team environment
