Sr Manager of DBAs
DBA Senior Manager managing Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, and MySQL databases, database administrators, and
BSP/contractor resources.
Plans and organizes the strategic database architecture, balances long term objectives with short term
data processing requirements, and aligns the team with departmental and corporate objectives. Ensures
database availability SLAs, project delivery, development alignment, production DBA support, resource
allocation, and departmental budgeting. Provides day to day responsibility for the database
administration and data infrastructure components required to support the business applications.
Understands and solves for database issues, financial management, resource management, compliance
management, data center operations, high availability solutions, best practices frameworks, capacity
planning, scalability, business intelligence, leadership, and coaching DBAs to full potential.
Develops and implements RDBMS SOFTWARE and associated requirements such as database standards,
consolidated processes, and DBA toolsets. Recommends system improvements, monitors design
progress, ensures project delivery, and conducts presentations. Interfaces with upper management
providing issue resolution, value-added solutions, DBA cost models, and accountability.
Minimum of 5 yrs. experience supervising systems professionals, preferebly DBAs; requires the ability
to lead and influence others to achieve results; thorough professional knowledge and experience with
RDBMS platforms, financial and analytical skills are recommended; strong interpersonal and
communication skills.
