Senior Systems & SQL Database Administrator
*
Defining requirements for improving and/or replacing internal database/application systems; developing, documenting and implementing such systems
*
Designs database structures to manage corporate information requirements
*
Provide systems analysis and technical direction to other IT personnel managing existing databases/systems
*
Designs methods for controlling access to secure information and for measuring the accuracy of data used to develop information.
*
Create new and modify existing reports for deployment on reports server for distribution to user community
*
Monitor transaction trends to identify and prevent trouble conditions including, record locking, transaction commit lag, etc.
*
Manage migration of information from legacy systems and alternative databases to SQL Server when appropriate
*
Identify resource requirements for all database servers and applications and communicate recommendation to Chief Financial Officer
*
Perform additional customizations to applications based on requests from other department management
*
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
*
Fundamental understanding of Windows Server and Workstation
*
Experience with SQL Server Administration, database design and implementation
*
Experience with FileMaker, FoxPro, ODBC, ADO and RDO
*
Familiarity with Salesforce.com helpful
*
SSIS, SSRS and SSAS
*
Develops and maintains SSIS packages for ETL processing.
*
Creates and maintains SSRS reports.
*
Writes and tunes up Stored Procedures, T-SQL scripts and MDX scripts.
*
Design, development and support of Enterprise Data Warehouses based on SQL Server
*
Designs and creates Tables, Partitions, Indexes and Views
.
EDUCATIONAL/TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
*
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree, MCSE (with SQL Server Admin elective) or equivalent work experience
