Oracle Database Administrator

This is a hands-on role that will do database administration, development, and design. The successful candidate must have experience in supporting various Oracle databases versions 10G and above. Technical Skills: • In depth knowledge with Oracle Database Administration Practical experience in monitoring and tuning proprietary databases, understanding RAID/SAN storage concepts • Experience writing custom stored procedures, working with bulk processing concepts, and some UNIX shell scripting • Practical experience with RMAN backup, local and remote recovery • 24x7 On-call Responsibility • Datawarehouse exposure a plus • Microsoft SQL Server exposure a plus • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with all levels of IT and operation staff. • Team player. Ability to work closely Application Developers, Server Administrators, SAN Storage Administrators, Business Analysts and Operational Support Personnel. • Strong self-sufficiency and initiative Experience: • Minimum 4 years experience as an Oracle Database Administrator • Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
