IT Database Administrator

The position will serve as the junior database administrator for supporting Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Datacom/DB and MySQL databases and will be responsible for the planning, configuration, growth, backup/recovery and performance/tuning of these databases. The database administrator will be part of the Technical Services & Support unit and will work in conjunction with other DBAs to provide an integrated architecture to support application systems using Oracle, Datacom/DB, Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL.

Qualified candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and at least one (1) year experience as a Oracle Database Administrator or Database Analyst. Candidates must have comprehensive working knowledge of database environments. The ability to code complex SQL statements and Oracle PL/SQL procedures is highly desirable. The position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills; the ability to work both independently and in a team environment; and be a flexible, highly motivated, and energetic person.
