Database Administrator
Job Requirements:
• Implement, configure, and troubleshoot database instances, replication, backup, partitions, storage, and access.
• Monitor and optimize system performance using index tuning, disk optimization, and other methods.
• Set user privileges within the database environment.
• Ensure that customer problems are dealt with expeditiously to maximize satisfaction.
• Oversee Database and Windows Server upgrades and overall maintenance.
• Train new technical staff to ensure effective on-boarding.
• Implement database and Windows monitoring and make performance recommendations.
• Help Developers write optimal code.
• Act as main interface for Technical support team.
• Work with Systems Engineers to install and configure Database Servers.
• Maintain and validate current Disaster Recovery practices.
• Develop and keep accurate documentation of processes, standards and baselines across SaaS environments, generating status updates of assigned projects and problems.
• BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, or other relevant degree and 5 or more years related experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Advanced expertise on Microsoft SQL Server a must; working knowledge of Informix and Oracle also highly desirable.
• Professional training in various technologies and tools; Microsoft (MCDBA, MCTS, MCITP)
• Experience with SAN/NAS storage solution technology; NetApp experience a plus.
• Demonstrated experience with a strong knowledge of network-related hardware/software, related peripherals, practices, policies and procedures.
• Strong experience with web servers and web server farms.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server, clustering and load-balancing.
• Familiarity with Healthcare IT solutions and Medical office environments
• General experience with network connectivity.

• Strong customer service skills; able to work effectively with customers and internal staff in critical situations to resolve problems quickly and professionally.
