Oracle Application Database Administrator

Job Description: *Responsible for full life cycle of Oracle 11i, R12 and 10G operations and support services. *Provide senior level support on Oracle e-Business suite, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Customer Relations Management (CRM) solutions. *Support existing database management systems (DBMS) * MS SQL and Oracle systems/technologies, and small, basic projects with budget. *Provide technical development and support skills in at least one DBMS environment. *Design simple complexity database applications; including maintenance of database dictionaries and integration of systems through database design. *Perform database administration and management activities in a safe, recoverable and professional manner that ensures the optimal operation of all database environments. *Stay abreast of the most current release of Oracle, including compatibility issues with operating systems, third party software and utilities. *Perform the level 2 support, as required, adhering to on-call processes and problem escalation processes. *Work closely with the ERL Developers and the rest of the SSOD technical team. *Design and develop in Oracle 10g, DBA, PL/SQL, Performance Tuning, Data Warehousing, Data Modeling, Stored Procedures and Triggers. *Provide secondary support to Oracle Database team. *Ensure disaster recovery planning and implementation as business demands. *Research, evaluate and implement DBMS related products. *Perform installations, upgrades, and patching of SQL server systems, Oracle DB, Oracle ERP and other Oracle related products. *Develop business applications/ERP module implementation plan. *Assist Oracle Application Development team. *Assist SAN engineer for DB storage management. *Assist Websphere team for DB requirement. *Server relocation. *Rack relocation. *Remote site support (visits, configurations, etc) *Perform all aspects of required task and skills as directed.

Qualifications: *Five to seven years experience as an Oracle Applications DBA, which encompasses installing, upgrading, and supporting Oracle Applications software and the associated Oracle Technology stack in a multi-tier environment including: database server, applications server, web server, concurrent processing server, reports server, forms server, admin server, and discoverer server environment. *Experienced and knowledgeable in Oracle applications in 11i and R12. *Experienced in Oracle Database 10g product versions in LINUX environments along with hands-on experience which includes patching, upgrades, and admin utilities console. *Knowledge of underlying Oracle Applications database architecture schemas/products/database objects, file system structure, cloning, tables, oracle export and import utility, views, packages, procedures, functions, triggers, sequences, indexes and constraints. *Experience with configuration, load balancing, backup/recovery (RMAN), sizing and space management, PL/SQL tuning, diagnostics, and proficiency in using Oracle*s enterprise manager tool. *Experienced in opening, managing, and resolving Oracle TAR*s and instillation of portal.
