# Provide expertise to specific projects
# Provide strategic solutions to improve supportability and act as the interface to development groups
# Develop tools to simplify the management burden across the global estate of Sybase and Oracle instances
# Work with QA to develop practical testing strategies to streamline the delivery of functionality to production
review new and existing systems implementations providing guidance on best practice
implementing key parts of the system to ensure high performance and high degree of extensibility of the system in the long-term
# Provide 24x7 on-call Level 2 support (on a rotating basis)
Successful candidates will have a depth and breadth of technology skills that includes some of:
# Development Methodologies
# Database Technologies (Oracle and Sybase)
# Systems management and monitoring
# Familiarity with programming Java and Perl a plus (as they are the primary database access methods)
# Requirements Minimum 5 years with experience with Oracle
# Minimum 3 years experience as an Oracle DBA
# Minimum of 3 years of experience with Unix/Linux
# Minimum of 3 years working in a QA testing environment
# Preferred Qualifications Four year bachelors degree or international equivalent
# Experience with Sybase.
