Database Backend Developer

Responsibilities

' Design, develop, deploy and maintain different types of internal applications: o scripts (Windows and Linux) o web-based interactive o monitoring agents and servers o data integration o database stored procedures and schemas ' Establish, enforce and maintain solid change management policies and practices ' Make improvements in legacy code by documenting and refactoring ' Build and maintain code and documentation repository for internal applications ' Organize periodic internal development training sessions for other team members ' Improve security model and implementation of legacy code ' Continuously research new technologies and best industry practices

' 3+ years of Unix/Linux scripting: bash and Perl scripting ' 2+ years of Windows development and scripting: VBS and PowerShell ' 2+ years of Oracle (SQL, PL/SQL) and MS SQL Server (T-SQL) development ' Practical knowledge and experience of using change management systems (CVS, Subversion, etc.) ' Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills ' Detail-oriented ' Good work ethic
