Engineering Systems and Database Admin

In this position you’ll be the main contact to create workflows, manage access control policies, and implement data and configuration management strategies in our system. You will also assist our primary DBA in the design, development, modification, analysis, documentation, testing and implementation of complex databases, serving as a backup when required.

You should have at least six years of IT experience that includes in-depth engineering application experience and two years of database administration. Demonstrated hands-on engineering system administration expertise, to include tasks such as user set-up, system installation, application of patches and updates, etc., is necessary; knowledge of software administration functions is preferred. Familiarity with databases such as Oracle 9i/10g and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 is needed, along with knowledge of SUN Solaris 9 and Windows 2000/2003 hardware platforms. Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or additional equivalent experience is needed.
