Oracle Database Administrator

Responsibilities: o Create backups and test recoverability o Verifying and helping to verify data integrity o Ensure maximum performance with sql queries o Development and testing support – Helping programmers and engineers to efficiently utilize the database o Proficient in writing shell scripts o Install and upgrade Oracle databases o Write PL/SQL packages and stored procedures as needed. o Work together and resolve customer questions

Skill Requirements: o Minimum five years Oracle database administration experience o RMAN and export/import/data pump experience o Oracle 10g experience, 10g RAC experience a plus o Advanced PL/SQL skills are desirable; intermediate PL/SQL skills are required o Proficiency with UNIX (linux), shell scripting and crons are required o Must have a detailed familiarity with relational database principles and schema design o Must be highly committed to systems and database security as well as data integrity o Must communicate effectively with management, peers and customers. o Must be self-motivated, have a strong team orientation, learn quickly and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. o Must be authorized to work for any US company. o Must have B.S. degree in computer science or related field;
