SQL Server Database Administrator
What does the job entail?
*
Perform logical and physical database design to support our Application development team.
*
Prepare current database structure and configuration for high- performance through analysis and optimization.
*
Maintain and develop the logical data access layer utilized by all supporting business applications.
*
Handle development escalations that require data manipulation on high volume production servers.
*
Design and build standard reports and the framework for ad-hoc reports utilizing Microsoft toolset: SQL Server, Analysis, and Reporting Services.
*
Participation in a rotating on-call schedule.

What do you need to do this job?

Complete job responsibilities listed above with a high degree of confidence and proficiency
*
Minimum of 3 years experience with SQL Server Database Administration version 2000 – 2008
*
1 - 2 years experience with SQL Server transactional replication
*
Experience with TSQL language
*
Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced/mission-critical environment
*
Ability to take leadership of issues and drive them to closure
*
Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment
*
Knowledge of Storage Area Networks a plus
*
Solid understanding of Windows operating system (Windows 2000-2008, RAID, etc...)
What additional skills are 'preferred'?
Minimum of 1 year experience programming in VB.NET preferred
