Associate, Data Warehouse DBA

,b The Data Warehouse DBA Developer is responsible for building and maintaining the mission critical enterprise data warehouse and performing related database administration duties.

# On-going data warehouse maintenance responsibilities. # Senior level contribution to the data warehouse design and ETL design and development # Database development, testing and production environment support. # Database tuning, data replication and security administration. # Troubleshooting database failures; implement hot fixes as well as long-term solutions; handle database backups and recoveries; maintain overall data integrity.

Education and/or Experience:

# A four-year degree in computer science or equivalent is required. A minimum of 3-5 years experience working extensively with SQL Server including the ability to write, analyze, and debug queries. # Experience with optimization and troubleshooting techniques to address performance problems on SQL Server 2005/2008. # Experience with stored procedure development and tuning using established coding conventions. # Experience with: SSIS, SSRS and SSAS. # Experience with data warehouse design, ETL (Extraction, Transformation & Load), and architecting efficient software designs around. Must possess working knowledge of SSIS. # Must possess exceptional problem-solving and meta-data skills; analyze query plans, indexes, and locking behavior. # Proficiency in scripting languages .NET development a plus
