DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR Position Summary: Responsibilities: Designs & maintains data files & object layouts necessary to ensure optimum database performance & data integrity for assigned systems. Exhibits strong oral & written communication skills necessary to communicate (technically & non-technically) with team members, other IS professional staff, IS management, users & vendors to ensure successful & cooperative completion of tasks & projects & to resolve problems in a timely manner. Exhibits strong task & project management skills required to ensure tasks & projects are completed in a successful & timely manner. Exhibits ability to resolve problems effectively & efficiently required to ensure, minimal disruptions & unplanned downtimes of assigned systems & databases. Requirements: Requirements: Recent/relevant experience in IS & Database Administration, including programming/analysis & successful project implementations. Database administration, systems administration & Oracle development, maintenance & tuning. Certified in Database Administration. Strong verbal & written communication, project management, PC and client/server skills. Teamwork abilities with multiple IS groups & departmental user groups. MS Office knowledge required.
