Description

• Design and development of database management systems. • Perform Database Size Estimation and Capacity Planning. • Create highly available clustered databases using Oracle Real Application Cluster technology. Monitor and troubleshoot databases. • Install and upgrade Oracle Software products. • Develop, test and deploy database backup and restoration procedures using RMAN. • Configure standby databases.Provide SQL and PL/SQL support to developers and programmers to write optimized code. • Develop Unix Shell Scripts and PL/SQL procedures to automate database monitoring and maintenance. • Install and configure Oracle Enterprise Manager to monitor the databases. • Implement security standards/guidelines for compliance. • Application and system performance tuning of the databases. • Document database environment guidelines and related procedures. • Perform benchmarking and load tests. • Evaluate and prototype features of new products and releases by Oracle.
