This position supports the Sr. Oracle DBA and the Oracle Database Manager (“hands-on” manager) in a very mission critical, high-transaction environment. Primary duties are to provide production and application support. Other duties will include coordination of projects with PL/SQL development group and to coordinate patching and upgrades within the customer-facing Application Development (Oracle Forms and .Net) groups.

Skills/experience needed:

1. 4+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA

2. Strong experience supporting production, development and test environments

3. Any experience with database replication is helpful, but not necessary

4. Recent experience with Oracle 8i/9i/10G or later is required

5. Strong experience with performance tuning and monitoring

6. Strong experience with application and middleware support

7. Some experience with development tools (TOAD, SQL Programmer etc.) is helpful.

8. Experience with database packages is required

10. Strong experience with Oracle database import/export (SQL loader, etc.) is helpful

11. Any candidates with 1+ year of SQL server administration experience (SQL 2000) will receive special consideration

12. Any candidates with Oracle (OCP) certifications will receive special consideration

12. Experience editing/maintaining PL/SQL code is required -- experience writing PL/SQL code from scratch is very beneficial

13. Any experience with scripting (PERL or UNIX shell) is beneficial, but not necessary

14. RMAN – Oracle Recovery Manager experience is a must

15. Oracle Application Server is a plus

16. This is a Production/Development/QA DBA - very fast-paced environment

1 Sql server 2000 prod d-base
