Sr. Database Administrator

Looking for exceptional Sr. DBA to join our team. Under general supervision, the selected Sr DBA will designs, implements and maintains moderately complex databases with respect to JCL, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, reorganization, and statistical methods. Includes maintenance of database dictionaries and integration of systems through database design. Competent to work in most phases of database management. Responsible for all activities related to the administration of computerized relational database systems. Responsible for monitoring, administrating, and implementing performance tuning on database systems in support of the Analysis and Production operational baseline. Responsible to develop non-database program components (i.e., developing shell scripts to load or dump database information). Prepares activity and progress reports regarding the database management section. Required Skills

The selected Sr. DBA must have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or related discipline may be subtituted for (3) years of work experience; Masters degree in any of the above disciplines may be substitued for an additional two (2) years of experience with a minimum of thirteen (13) years general experience as a Database Administrator. Experience must include database performance optimization, developing/changing database indices, redesigning the database structure and/or reloading data into the database.

Security Clearance Requirements: ACTIVE TS SCI w/Lifestyle Polygraph (or within the last 24 months)
