Database Administrator

Principal Database Administrator and the Technical Coordinator for administration of Microsoft SQL based systems. This position will provide the opportunity to get exposed to the latest in Microsoft and other technologies, including virtualization, load balancing and server clustering for high availability. This individual will be working on multiple projects to provide Microsoft solutions to the business requirements of the School (e.g. MS CRM, Team Foundation Server, Identity Lifecycle Manager, Disaster recovery, MS Systems Center, Project Server, Exchange 2007, MOSS 2007).

The candidate must have three years of experience serving as a Microsoft DBA on the SQL 2000 or SQL 2005 platform in a complex environment including reporting and integration services. Experience as a Windows Server Administrator including advanced features such as clustering is required. The incumbent must have strong operating system skills and experience with Active Directory domain infrastructure and administration, Microsoft server monitoring and management, and Windows/Linux interoperability. The job is primarily system administration, but the candidate must possess coding and scripting skills as necessary, primarily in Powershell, C#.Net, and T-SQL.
