DBA Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to fill an Oracle DBA and Application Software Development Engineer position. The responsibilities of the position include all phases of the software development lifecycle. The candidate will be expected to work on wide-range of development tasks in partnership with other members of the team.

· Oracle DBA and Application Developer · Oracle 10g. SQL, PL/SQL, RAC, RMAN, Data Guard, Performance Monitoring and Tuning, Unix and Shell Scripting, good communication skills. · Design, implement, load test, tune and support Oracle database systems, which are embedded, and part of telecom application software solutions. · Scripting of installation, upgrade, backup/recovery, high availability and disaster recovery solutions. · Develop efficient database queries and stored procedures. · Support application developers and installed customer base.

The successful candidate will have a high degree of competence in Oracle 10g and Unix shell scripting. The candidate must have at least 2-3 years of continuous and recent working experience with Oracle technologies. Working experience with 4 or more of the following technologies: SQL, PL/SQL, RAC, RMAN, Data Guard, Performance Monitoring and Tuning, and Clearcase. Experience in the telecommunications area and in developing network and element management software is a plus.

Requirements: BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related disciplines with 2-4 years of software development experience.
