Senior Database Administrator

Job Summary:

Responsible for planning, managing, and supporting all Business Applications (ERP, PLM, MES, BI) databases (MS SQL and Oracle) including schema design, performance tuning, documentation, capacity planning, and operational guidelines as well as performing and monitoring all backups and database maintenance activities. Also responsible for supporting Business Applications development teams while providing guidance and best practice solutions. Principal responsibilities include ensuring data integrity and performance of production databases.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

•Support company operations in a high-throughput production environment by proactively managing the performance, integrity, and security of Business Applications databases and database servers.

•Manage the synchronization of multiple databases within an ERP multi-instance architecture.

•Set-up, monitor, and maintain disaster recovery solutions for production databases provided by 3-rd party tools and SQL Server DR functions (i.e., warm stand-by servers).

• Work with the database team to architect and provide integration of multiple data systems and data sources for financial systems.

•Assist in the creation and maintenance of customized database reports, tools, and analyses for end-users.

•Assist Business Applications development groups in the dev-test-stage-deploy cycle for ERP and business applications.

•Provide support to Business Applications development groups in best practices for database design, index tuning, and stored procedure coding.

•Work with a team of experienced DBA’s to provide 24x7x365 support and reliability of backup and recovery processes.

•Participate in ETL activities within the Business Applications team.
