Engineering Interview in Technical Round: Why do you want to go into this field?
Highlight the academic qualifications and try to address the steps taken towards the application of the acquired knowledge.
E.g. - I did my major in chemistry and assisted senior scientists in a chemical company. It helped me to explore and understand the field application of the concepts in a real scenario. Further, it opened up avenues that may be explored in this domain.
In case one is a pass out, highlight the internship experience or other similar activities. One may also highlight any achievement during school like science scholarship or participation in state or country level science workshop.
