How to convert a string to upper case using the UPPER() function?

UPPER(str) is a MySQL built-in function that
converts all characters of a given into upper case characters.
For example:
SET @str = 'dba.FYIcenter.com'; SELECT UPPER(@str); -- +-------------------+ -- | UPPER(@str) | -- +-------------------+ -- | DBA.FYICENTER.COM | -- +-------------------+
Reference information of the UPPER() function:
UPPER(str): modstr Returns the string str with all characters changed to uppercase according to the current character set mapping, or NULL if str is NULL. The default character set is utf8mb4. Arguments, return value and availability: str: Required. The string to be converted. modstr: Return value. The converted string. Available since MySQL 4.0.
